Barbara Ann Hunter

Barbara Ann Hunter, 83 of Houston, Alabama, passed away August 22, 2023 at Arbor Lake Health and Rehab in Auburn, Alabama.

She was born March 15, 1940 in Winston County. Barbara was a loving wife and mom that loved being outside and playing with the grandkids. She also loved working with the forest service, caring for animals, sharing stories of her childhood, traveling, and reading.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at 9:00am at Poplar Springs Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Nauvoo, Alabama. Brother T.J. Millican will officiate.

Barbara is survived by her daughters, Lana (Mike) Sargent, and Amy (Donald) Jones; son, Frankie (Michelle) Hunter; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert M. Spain and Evie Curtis Spain; husband, Frank O. Hunter; daughters, Lisa Henderson and Tammy Hunter; son-in-law, Danny Henderson; great grandson, Wyatt Sargent; sisters, Luzelle Powell, Laverne Aldridge, and Vermell Wakefield; and brother, Roger Spain.
