Gail Hogan, 70 of Double Springs, entered into rest on Friday, June 28, 2019 at Hendrix Health and Rehab in Double Springs.

Gail was born on June 29, 1948 in Jasper. She was a graduate of the Class of 1966 of Winston County High School. She was a member of Poplar Springs Freewill Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School. Gail received her degree in education and taught her first year on an Indian reservation in South Dakota. She returned to Winston County and taught 41 years in the Winston County School System.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 30, 2019 from 2:30-4pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs, where services will be held at 4pm. Brothers Gene Taylor, Hugh Cavender and Danny Page will officiate. Burial will follow in Poplar Springs Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Gail is survived by her mother, Geraldine Hogan; brother, Dan Hogan and his wife Tanya; aunts, Betty Spain and Hildred White. She was Aunt Gail to nephew, Justin (Raven) Hogan; niece, Bethany Flanagan; great nephews, Evan Hogan, Isaac Flanagan and Easton Hogan; great niece, Eva Hogan; and a host of cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, James D. Hogan.
