Charline Bates Laney

Visitation for Mrs. Charline Bates Laney will be Monday 6-9 p.m. at Moreland New Home Baptist Church. Charline Bates Laney age 64, of Houston passed away October 8, 2006 at her residence. Mrs. Laney served as President of the ladies auxiliary at Guntersville, Alabama and the American Legion. Services will be Tuesday, 2:00 p.m. October 10th at Moreland New Home Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Roger Dennington and Mike Joyner officiating. Survivors: 1 Son-Billy Ray (Annette) Laney, Jr. of Double Springs. 4 Daughters-Wanda (Wayne) Burnett of Houston, AL., Vickey (George) Workman of Pine City, MN., Cindi Lord and Terrie (William) Atkins both of Houston, AL. 2 Brothers-Alton (Deloris) Bates, Jr. and Thomas (Jill) Bates both of Addison. 2 Sisters-Kathy (Roger) Dennington of Social Circle, GA. and Reba Jane Bates of Addison. 17 Grandchildren 4 Great Grandchildren Preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray Laney and her parents, Alton and Geneva Thomason Bates.
