Dortha Christeen Adams

Dortha Christeen Luna Adams, age 74 of Double Springs, passed away September 5 , 2006 at her residence. Visitation will be Wednesday, at Mrs. Adams residence starting a 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. September 7th at Sardis Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Sardis Cemetery. Reverend Jerry Richie and Rev. Larry Riddle officiating. Mrs. Adams was a homemaker and was also a member of the Double Springs American Legion Womens Auxiliary for many years. Survivors: Husband-Hollis Eugene Adams 7 Sons-John Henry Adams of Childersburg, Hollis Eugene Jr., Jerry Dean, Tony Mack, Tommy Wayne and Jimmy Dewayne Adams of Double Springs and David Ricky Adams of Haleyville. 3 Daughters-Patricia Lynne Adams Woods Nelson of Nauvoo, Sandra Kaye Adams Corbin of Double Springs and Cathy Adams Patrick of Vernon. 2 Brothers-Eugene and Frankie Luna of Tennessee. 2 Sisters-Ollie Stevens and Jane Rochelle of Tennessee. 37 Grandchildren 25 Great Grandchildren 1 Great Great Grandchild Preceded in death by her parents, Neeley and Mary Luna, sisters, Alice, Irene, Effie and Gracie, brothers, Willie Elbert, Alford, Lonzo and Dick, daughter, Sarah Emmernola Taylor, grandchild, Jonathon Aaron Adams and one great grandchild, Emily Marie Corbin Taylor.
