Doris Laverne Batchelor, age 74 of Trafford, AL formerly of Haleyville, passed away July 20, 2006 in St. Martins In The Pines. Visitation will be Saturday, 9-5:30 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville. Funeral services will be 5:30 p.m. July 22nd at Nichols Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Winston Memorial Cemetery. Reverend Daniel Wilson officiating. Survivors: 3 Sons-Ronald L. Gibbs of Houston, Texas, Roger “Rick” and wife Deanna Gibbs of LaFayette, Louisiana, and Rodney and wife Nancy Gibbs of Austin, Texas. 3 Sisters-Joy Phillips and husband Jack of Hoover, AL., Kay Gray of Homewood, Al. and Diane Jackson of Trafford, AL. 3 Grandchildren 2 Aunts-Alpha Cockrell of Haleyville and Agnes Lovett of Center Point. Several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her mother, Dena Cockrell Batchelor and her father Virgil Batchelor. Special thanks to New Beacon Hospice for their assistance.
