John H. Matherson

John H. Matherson, age 80 of Bessemer formerly of Haleyville, passed away July 10, 2006 at his residence. Mr. Matherson was a U.S. Army Veteran. Visitation will be Thursday, 6-9:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. July 14th at Nichols Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery. J.T. Herron officiating. Survivors: 2 Sons-Edward Earl Matherson of Bessemer and James David Matherson of Birmingham. 1 Daughter-Trenna Keller of Crestview, FL. 2 Brothers-C.L. Matherson of Montgomery and Frank Matherson of Silvra. 2 Sisters-Dolly Mae Nobles of Ocalo, Fl. And Evelyn Whitfield of Alabaster. 5 Grandchildren 6 Great Grandchildren Preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Matherson. Arrangements by Nichols Funeral Home of Haleyville.
