Vera A. Willis

Vera A. Willis, age 101, of Norwalk, Ohio, formerly of Haleyville, Alabama, enter into rest on Monday, July 9, 2018 at Heritage Village of Clyde Nursing Home in Clyde, Ohio.

Mrs. Willis was born on July 21, 1916 in Haleyville, Alabama, to the late Dallas and Effie Boyd Dennis. On May 12, 1933 she married Roy C. Willis in Anniston, Alabama and on May 19, 1948, he preceded her in death. Vera was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church in Haleyville, Alabama.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Haleyville, Alabama.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Jean Burson of Norwalk, Ohio; 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by her 3 children, Edwin ” Bud” Willis, Mavlene Antee, and Leroy “Mickey” Willis; and 4 siblings.
