Johnny Ray Thompson

August 10, 1956 — February 17, 2018

Johnny Ray Thompson, 61 of Arley, entered into rest on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Cullman Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Thompson was born on August 10, 1956 in Kankakee, Illinois. Johnny graduated from Meek High School in 1975.  He enjoyed working on cars and going to the races.  Johnny loved fishing with the grandkids.  He loved to Aggravate! He was known to many as "The Fireman".

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 19, 2018 from 6-8pm at Nichols Funeral Home, Addison. Services will be held at Nesmith Church on Tuesday, February 20, 2017 at 2pm.  He will lie in state from 1-2pm.  Brother  Steton Hayes and Brother Raymond Baker will officiate.  Burial will be in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.

Johnny is survived by his mother, Betty Jean Thompson; sons, Keith Thompson and wife Tiffany, Dallas Thompson and wife Holly, Jace Fisher and wife Christy; brother, Jimmy (Regina) Thompson. He was "Pawpaw John" to 5 grandchildren, Peyton Thompson, Tallee Rae Thompson, Tucker Thompson, Cole Thompson, Connor Thompson; and a special brother, Alan Brown.

He was preceded in death by his father, R.C. Thompson; sister, Ruby Jean Thompson; brother, Dennis Mitchell Thompson; and grandson, Brodie Keith Thompson.
