Jennifer Lynn Vickery, 62, of Double Springs, entered into rest on June 23, 2018 at Walker Baptist Hospital surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Mrs. Vickery was born on February 15, 1956 in Athens, Alabama. Lynn graduated from Winston County High School in 1975. She was dispatcher 6701 for the Winston County Sheriff’s office for the last 17 years and during this time received Dispatcher of the Year Award twice. Lynn was a member of Fraternal Order of Police. She loved spending time with her friends and was an avid Auburn fan. “WAR EAGLE”
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 24, 2018 from 5pm-9pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs, where services will be held on Monday, June 25, 2018 at 4pm. Reverend Michael Tidwell will officiate. Burial will follow in Whitehouse Cemetery in Brilliant.
Lynn is survived by her loving husband of 19 years, Joe Vickery; brothers, Tony Boykin and his wife Carol, and Mike Boykin and his wife Natalie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Pauline Boykin.
Pallbearers are Police Officers: Les Abbott, Josh Silas, Greg Rooks, Levi Brown, Derreck Cagle, and Jon Tidwell.
Honorary Pallbearers will include representatives of the Winston County Sheriff Office, Double Springs Police Department, Haleyville Police Department, Addison Police Department, Arley Police Department, Lynn Police Department, Winston County Firefighters, and EMS Personnel.
Family requests donations be made to Whitehouse Cemetery fund.
